Last night we went to downtown Ann Arbor for dinner and a bird talk on the discovery of a new bird species in India. Dinner was at TK WU a small Chinese restaurant that has been in Ann Arbor since 2003. and is on Liberty. A day of making sauces
Yesterday afternoon in took the cilantro and mint, added lemon jouice and garlic and make my cilantro-mint sauce. Three “units’ went into the freezer, with a lot of cilantro left for using other ways. Then I took the jalapeños, seranos and cayennes and made a sauce that was also frozen. Getting produce ready for the winter
Got the cilantro and some mint from the garden. My recipe for cilantro-mint chutney calls for a “bunch” of cilantro. I guess that they’re assuming that you bought it. The garden in October
After being away for two weeks I was curious as to what we would find in the garden when we got home. I was surprised at the number of tomatoes and green beans as well as the summer squash. Our garden, which is mostly edible plants also attracts a great variety of insects, both during the day and at night.
