Whitefish Point in May can vary from cold to hot and from windy to still, sometimes it rains and sometimes it snows. It’s OK when it rains because it is typically intermittent and migrants, especially waterfowl still moves. But when it snows everything that I want to see stops.

Well, last night it snowed, although it was a dusting of a few millimeters. That really doesn’t matter because we were planning to head south for a few days to get stuff done in Ann Arbor.
In Ann Arbor we’ll get plants for the garden. I know that it’s chancy planting this early in May, but it’s a chance that we’ll have to take. We’re also planning on getting together with friends that we haven’t seen in a while, as well as do some shopping.
Hopefully, we find some insects on the way home that might give me a reason to write again.
Until next time…
