Somehow being away for ten days has resulted in a garden bounty. Lots of tomatoes (cherry and slicing tomatoes), jalapeños, the first green beans and several very large zucchini. But even better is the huge number of roma tomatoes that will be picked later today. Also I now have over two dozen figs ripening.
Making tomato sauce, canning, zucchini pickles and pickled jalapeños are in our future. Then there’s basil and other herbs.
The garden is starting the late summer bounty.

Just wonderful! And I am hearing a Carolina wren singing; the first this summer, I must have missed her when she passed through this spring.The vegetables are beautiful!!!
