The other day we made a stop at Point Labarbe to look for dwarf lake iris. Not only did we find it but we also found other interesting things.

But we found the “mother load” of dwarf lake iris.

This little beauty is perhaps 2 inches tall and the flower itself is less than the diamater of a half-dollar.

I also managed to get a good look at mustard white. Our native white butterfly, not to be confused with the invasive cabbage white.
Nest we’re off to Cedarville and Hessel for two nights.
Dwarf lake iris is my new favorite, gorgeous. I have never seen. Thank you
