Yesterday was surprisingly good for migrant hawks at Whitefish Point. There were a lot of Broad-winged Hawks and Sharp-shinned Hawks. Both Golden and Bald Eagles were seen in decent numbers. And in the evening we had a good look at a Long-eared Owl flying by as the sun was setting.

Sunrise from the upper deck at our place at Whitefish Point. The south-east winds might bring some migrants. The loons and waterfowl were moving nicely at the Waterbird count. We managed to see two Harlequin Ducks.

The ever-changing and evolving restoration area. Susan added some lichens the other day.

Looks like there is frost at sunrise. Hope for many hawks today.
