And now a cold front

I got up this morning and the temperature was 24F, by 7 AM it had dropped to 20F. Where will it end up? And on top of the temperature swing it snowed.

View from the back door showing the dusting of snow. There’s not much, yet it’s still depressing. I’m done with snow for the season.

The view from the upper deck. It’s a beautiful morning with a moderate north-west wind and it’s clearing, thus the cold. That’s the way it is at this time of year.

More later…

  1. Wow, just when you thought there would be a warming trend. In upstate NYm it was in the high 80s during the week, but we had maybe that same front, though milder yesterday–in the 60s yesterday, today 50 and rain. I think my favorite weather is 40s-50s at night (good sleeping weather) but 60-70 during the day: no bugs, no sweltering humidity. Im beginning to find summer is too sweltering for me these days. As I said, better get used to it. I’m going to see “The Extraordinary Caterpillar” a documentary about caterpillars and the environment. Pat Sutton’s newsletter (she and her husband Clay were from the Cape May Bird Observatory) said it was WONDERFUL, so I’m lucky its showing up for one show at the local indie Moviehouse. Hopefully you’ll be able to see it in Ann Arbor too.
