A vistor last night at Whitefish Point

Sometimes when you get up early in the morning you see something surprising. Wee this morning I turned on the bayside lights to see how much it snowed last night and saw that we got an inch or two. But what was really surprising was we also had visitors who left taracks in the fresh snow.

These are the meandering tracks of coyotes. If it was a fox there would have only been one, but here we had evidence of two or more. After the sun was up we were able to see that there were more tracks on the north side of the house.

Now back to the fire –

More later…

  1. Wow, those tracks look like they circle a lot. I am in the country and have deer, squirrel, rabbit tracks and a single file of tracks I think is red fox. Very cool! So silent. Beautiful fire.
