Brazilian jacaranda – a tree that we saw almost daily.

Brilliant lamium – a pretty little plant that was abundant along the roads in and near Ubatuba.

One of the Heliconia. Not quite sure which one it is, but it sure was pretty.

Kohleria hirsuta, a nice flowering plant near the lodge in Ubatuba.

Mistletoe – I was excited to see this, especially when I learned that there were mistletoe specialists.

This is possibly nance.

Parrot’s beak.

Scarlet sage.

Two of the many ferns that we saw. It’s reasonable to assume that this area of Brazil has over a thousand species of ferns, so any identifications will be iffy. Selliguea lehmannii on the left and swamp vine fern on the right.

Shell ginger. This attractive plant we perhaps eight feet high and a covered 10-12 feet along a road.

Slender vervain.

Two different Tillandsia species.

A type of trumpet vine.

Walking iris.

Yellow trumpet tree. We saw hundreds of different trees. It will take a long time to try to identify the ones that I have photos of.
And with the exception of lichens that’s the end of photos from Brazil.
More later…
oh it is so beautiful to see the jacaranda flower! Thank you for sharing this!
