A sunny walk in downtown Ann Arbor

We walked from home to downtown Ann Arbor today. It was sunny and close to 20F.

I stopped along the way to photograph iconic Ann Arbor buildings. I haven’t been to the Blind Pig since the 1980s.

Grizzly Peak and Café Zola both places that we have enjoyed over the years.

Old Town, West End Grill, and Pacific Rim

Fleetwood Diner and Crazy Jims Blimpy Burger – two classic greasy spoons.

But today the morning destination was Sweetwaters where we had coffee and a chocolate scone before heading off to do some shopping.

Walked past The Earle.

Down Main Street to see Crazy Wisdom and Vinology.

We passed Amadeus, a favorite place to eat.

The we went into Literati where we got a couple of books.

We passed TeaHaus where the mouse in the tea cup suggested no laptops or wifi, instead talk over a cup of tea. We finally reached our destination The Peoples Food Coop, Farmers Market and Sparrow Market. By then it was time for lunch.

We walked over to 1923, a taco truck where we had a delightful lunch. There’s a tent with heaters where we sat and enjoyed sharing our three taco meal.

We had the first three tacos on the menu while sharing a ginger beer.

A great way to spend a sunny winter day.

More tomorrow…

  1. I so enjoyed walking around town with the two of you and thinking about the two of you and about all of those great business places. Thanks for today’s walk!
