I think that BC nailed it the other day. Now on to the ride north. It was barely beyond Washtenaw County that we started seeing the billboards for cannabis. I guess that “Granny knows best in Whitmore Lake.” And if you’re having trouble finding a place to get your cannabis just follow the directions fromContinue reading “Back at Whitefish Point for the week”

Sunny Sunday morning breakfast and a walk
Our day started with breakfast at Nick’s which due to road work was really hard to access. But we managed to meet Mike and Linda. Then Mike came with us to Lower Huron Metropark. At Lower Huron we decided to walk the Wood Creek Rustic Trails. This nice trail had a lot of nice trees.Continue reading “Sunny Sunday morning breakfast and a walk”
Another beautiful October day
Having seen a few Bullet ants I thought that this was a nice cartoon. Susan and I had dinner tonight with Don and Loree at Los Tres Amigos in Chelsea. Now I’m stuffed. Since I have been posting some drawings from Inktober I thought I should post the pens and pencils that I have beenContinue reading “Another beautiful October day”
Inktober – batch four
Before getting to some drawings, there are two photos from the web. This is one of Olympia in Detroit. I had the pleasure of seeing many Detroit Red Wings games there. I saw one professional lacrosse game there when Detroit had a team. Finally I went to several concerts there including seeing Blind Faith, (withContinue reading “Inktober – batch four”
Humor for a snowy fall day
The soon to be released new quarter will feature an Asian-American for the first time. Now on to some humor. Had to use nasty viruses for humor, but Doonesbury nailed it. High Occupancy Vehicle lanes are found in many major cities in the U.S. It’s sad that two people qualify as “high occupancy.” My brother-in-lawContinue reading “Humor for a snowy fall day”
Inktober – group three
Wow, 18 inches of snow south-west of Marquette, but almost none at Whitefish Point. It was an interesting fall snowstorm. Now, on to some drawings. The Inktober prompt for October 8th was match. So I did a “match” of two people’s hearts. October 9th prompt was “nest.” Here’s a quick sketch of a Palm WarblerContinue reading “Inktober – group three”
Let’s have a cup of coffee and talk
While research shows that drinking 3-4 cups of coffee in the morning helps people live longer. The above statement has always been my philosophy. Regardless of what you think, let’s sit down and talk. The Pandemic Doctor is here talking to old friends about – you guessed it, the pandemic. It’s still here, and forContinue reading “Let’s have a cup of coffee and talk”
Inktober – batch two
It was a beautiful morning, albeit with threatening clouds that started producing rain soon after getting home from a walk. Now on to some sketches. October 4th the theme was scallop. My question is dinner or a shell? So, my feeble attempt at combining dinner with a meal, including lemon and garlic. October 5th themeContinue reading “Inktober – batch two”
A beautiful Sunday with friends and birds
Our day started in the dark with a beautiful look at the Moon. Then it was off to an early breakfast. A restaurant that we had not visited before. A highlight for me was being able to get cheesy grits that were quite good. It was also nice to have time to chat with ourContinue reading “A beautiful Sunday with friends and birds”
Game day in Ann Arbor
The Red Wings game last night was infinitely better than game one last season. Elmer Söderblom scored the first goal of the season, in his first game in the NHL. Husso got the shutout, and Rasmussen had the best game of his career. Now let’s see how tonight goes in New Jersy, It was aContinue reading “Game day in Ann Arbor”
