Western Canada: Day-4

It seemed appropriate that we were seeing beavers in western Canada. When we found two that appeared to be sleeping we were suprised. Early one morning we spotted a moose on the other side of a lake where we were looking for waterfowl. Red-necked Grebe on a nest. Northern HarriersContinue reading “Whitefish Point – migrating hawks”

Whitefish Point – A rare bird shows up

Rough-legged Hawks seem to fly in any weather, regardless of the temperature or wind direction. The same applies to Sharp-shinned Hawks and Turkey Vultures. Red-tailed HawksContinue reading “Whitefish Point – A rare bird shows up”
