July was a busy month. It has taken me a long time to clear out memory space on this site to be able to post pictures again. Additionally we spent two weeks with our daughter and grandkids visiting. So, we have been quite busy.
One of the highlights of the visit was going to the Detroit Institute of Art. A highlight there was seeing the Diego Rivera (1886-1957) murals and watching the movie of him painting the murals. Something there that impressed me was seeing Frieda Kahlo (1907-1954) smiling. I’ve seen a lot of photos and paintings by her, but in none of those was she smiling.
