Yesterday we spent the entire day looking for birds in the Munuscong Potholes and Bay area of Chippewa County. To say it was an excellent day would be an understatement. While I had expected to get a lot of wetlands birds, which we did, the highlight for me was the tremendous number of warblers that we had. Some of the highlights were: American Bitterns, Marsh and Sedge Wrens, 17 species of warblers, a flock of Whimbrel, an excellent look at an Upland Sandpiper and fields filled with Bobolinks. Now on to a few photos from the past two days.

A yet to be identified caterpillar and beetle from Whitefish Point.

Female Rose-breasted Grosbeak and a male Cape May Warbler.
