Haw Creek State Park, Florida

We spent a morning here with Roger and Dawn. There’s a wonderful boardwalk with great plants, insects and lizards

But our day started at the bathrooms, it was a long drive and frankly there were insects/

Figure-eight Sallow (left) and Lunate Zale (right). These were a nice way to start the day.

Spring fishflies added to the days totals.

Then there was a Giant katydid, a real highlight for me since it’s been close to 12 years since I last saw one.

The highlight for everybody was this Luna Moth.

A yet to be identified Polistes wasp.

A Green anole with it’s orange dew-lap extended showing off for us.

An adult Southeastern five-lined skink, the most common amphibian on the boardwalk.
