Yesterday was an outrageously long day. Our flight leaving Detroit was 40 minutes late due to trouble starting the right engine. As a result of that we missed our flight to Eugene from Seattle. Then our flight from Eugene was a 40 minutes late (is there a theme here?). so we got into Eugene too late to get our rental car. By the time we got to Alexis’ place it was 2 AM PST. Needless to say I was exhausted since I had been up 24 hours. So I am anticipating a slow day today.

You know, travel today is often horrible, with a higher chance than ever before of things not going smoothly AT ALL!!! Especially at the holidays!!But I have to say that that view from the deck is going to be very RESTORATIVE, in addition to being with family! Amen. Rest a lot and enjoy.
