Is it snowing?

We try to get out at least twice a day for long walks, it’s good for us both not only physically, but also psychologically. Sometimes the weather can be a challenge, but not an obstacle that we cannot overcome. Yesterday was one of the trying days.

Yesterday we headed west on North Shore. There were scattered clouds and some blue sky when we started.

As we walked the snow started and was soon a blizzard. On our way home we saw that our tracks had already filled with snow.

When we got home after the weather had shortened our walk the sky cleared and it was sunnier than earlier. Oh well, time to do stuff in the cabin. We could go out as soon as things were done, like adding logs to the wood stove.

Susan went to feed a neighbors cats and I went to the point.

By the time I got to the point another snow squall hit and soon it was almost whiteout conditions. Oh well, at least I got out for a while.

More later…

  1. All those snow squalls! I was at WPBO only once in May 2011 and it was glorious! The hawk watch, my favorite, was on, and I spent a couple of days with the intern and even after he left the deck. Very exciting and beautiful to be there. ANd very different in winter! But still it seems so breathtaking, a cozy perfect life. ENjoy and stay warm. Your blogs hearten us, show us how it could be.
