We’re back at Whitefish Point with lost going on over the next few days. This is the Friends of Whitefish Point birding group which is lead by Alison and Chris. Tomorrow will be a house concert where we’ll get to not only hear some music but also see a bunch of friends.
Bird-wise things have been somewhat slow. A lot of people have seen the White-winged Dove that’s been occasionally showing up at the feeders behind the old Owl’s Roost. Somehow I keep missing it. I did manage to see the Swainson’s Hark that was here for at least three days.
Yesterday there were a fair number of warblers between us and the point.
Mosquitoes don’t want to quit this year, this is one of the worst years in recent times. I for one am looking forward to a hard frost.
That’s all for now, more tomorrow.
