BC explains extinction

We are all concerned about plants and animals that have gone extinct, or are facing extinction. I have unfortunately seen a bird that is now extinct – the Cozumel Thrasher. I can also think of three species of birds in northern North America that have gone extinct since the 1970s. First the Ivory-billed Woodpecker (the last were seen in Cuba). Then there is the Eskimo Curlew, last seen perhaps in Texas. And finally, Bachman’s Warbler, which was the one that I would have chased in the last 1970s. But it was never relocated.

Of course we are all familiar with the extinction of dinosaurs and other earlier species. So, how do comics look at extinction?

From boredom to gone.

And that’s why we don’t see any Yellow-bellied Goat-suckers, which is a fictional species. So becareful with your toasted marshmallows!

More later…
