Western Canada: Day-6

Traveled from Whitehorse to Dawson City, Yukon. Another full, fun day.

We had some excellent looks of arctic ground squirrels throughout the day.

Elk getting new antlers.

Stopped for a picnic lunch then it was time to get back on the road.

Horned Grebe in breeding plumage.

Another favorite of the trip was Orange-crowned Warbler. This one posed nicely.

We finally reached Dawson City just before dinner. We stayed at the Aurora Inn and ate dinners at the restaurant there.

Dawson City is an interesting place. No paved streets and no sidewalks, instead there were boardwalks. Everythin just as it was during the Klondike goldrush.

Walking around town was fun and interesting. And as with everywhere we visited there was interesting scenery.

More tomorrow…
