Brush Monkeys – 2024

For at least the last 10-12 yearsI have photographed window art all over the United States. This started in nn Arbor with getting excited about winter window paintings. The majority of this winter art is done by the Brush Monkeys. Here’s some from this year with the businesses that have the paintings.

Well, we all know that both Susan and I love birds. These were at Abracadabra, a jewlery business, where we coincidentally had our wedding bands made.

These two were at Condado’s (I think).

I think that the business with these reindeer is rather obvious.

The knight and castle seem to be a chess theme for Knight’s downtown, where we have never eaten.

Another business where we have never dined – The Slurping Turtle.

This iguana is on Main Street just south of Miller.

Sluggo (nest to the owl) is a sign that this was painted by David Zinn.

Polar bears enjoying a cup of coffee, or perhaps hot cocoa.

Real Seafood managed in include a seahorse in their window.

While this snow-waiter is delivering pizza, we have never had pizza at Palio.

Who could possibly avoid taking photo of a wolf?

The “bell” is the tell here – this is the new Pretzel Bell.

Where could this be? Oh, of course it’s The Blue Tractor.

And finally some vegetables at People’s Food Co-op.

So, there’s an abbreviated tour of Brush Monkey window art in downtown Ann Arbor.

More later…
