Watching Tsuchinshan-Atlas

Sunset at Whitefish Point, about an hour before we started looking for the comet.

The Moon rose to the east. It was a full Moon, called the hunters Moon. Hopefully, the light from the Moon woul;dn’t hamper our ability to see the comet.

Looking WSW we were finally able to see the comet. What a treat.

More tomorrow…

  1. Thank you for the photo of the comet. Here in A2, I’m surrounded by trees, and there’s city light plus the hunter’s moon, so I didn’t have a chance. Once, though, I saw one from the heights of Montmartre, my other home in Paris. Let’s meet when you’re back in A2?
