Full Moon at Whitefish Point

This is the Moon setting this morning at Whitefish Point. Since we do not have shades in our bedroom, whenever the Moon is in the western sky it’s like turning on the lights in the middle of the night. That’s why I use a sleep-mask.

Shortly after the Moon set it was time for sunrise. It’s a stunningly beautiful day here. It’s warmer (mid-40sF by noon), and the wind has died down.

Walking to the point it’s always nice seeing how the wind has sculpted to sand. The heavier particles settle out while the lighter ones get blown away from the wind.

Tomorrow might be a good time to get back to political cartoons, unless we manage to see the comet tonight.
