The garden is almost done for the season. Tomato plants and green beans have been taken out. Lots of canning done – tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, green tomato chutney and apple sauce (from apples we got at the Farmers Market). So, it was time to head north

As we headed north on I-75 we could tell that southern Michigan had caught up to the color change that we saw in the UP in late September.

At Whitefish Point we watched a wind surfer on Lake Superior with strong north-west winds.

Clearly this takes a lot of upper body strength.

It was difficult getting photos when he was air born. But it was interesting.

This morning it is much calmer and there was an amazing sunrise. This is looking north from the upper deck.
More later as I try to catch up on what’s been happening.
I gave up on gardening, too many deer around my part of SE A2 (Stone School & Packard). Except for green peppers; deer and rabbits and squirrels don’t like them.
Any aurora borealis up there?
