The view south-west from the tip of Whitefish Point where we have been for the past week.

Evening at the point looking northwest.

It’s always fun finding interesting animal tracks. These are bear tracks. The photo on the right has Susan’s foo for some size comparison.

Planting day at the habitat restoration site. People, lead by Susan were plant beach grass.

It’s always fun when an unexpected bird shows up.

Friday’s rare bird was a Burrowing Owl. This is the fourth state record as far as I know.

Currently, Yellow-billed Cuckoos are migrating in small. numbers. Normally, these are extremely rare in the Upper Peninsula. In late September and early October they are less rare.

Friends that appeared at Whitefish Point to see the owl. Joe Kaplan, Susan and Elliot Nelson.

A beautiful foggy sunrise this morning.

We got to photograph a fog-bow (think it as an albino rainbow) this morning. This is not a common occurrence.
More late.
