It’s taken a while but the nes waterfowl counter shack has arrived and it’s pretty sweet. Now, who will be the waterfowl counter this fall? That’s yet to be determined. But hopefully it will be somebody who can identify flying ducks, etc. really well.
The previous couple of nights have been slow for moths. Nothing spectacular like the black witch. It’s mostly been small to mid sized moths in mostly small numbers. More on that in the future.
Migrant-wise there have been a few Purple Finches, Evening Grosbeaks and Red Crossbills. So, it’s slow at the moment.
