Now that the inner crescents are done, the work has shifted to Hatcher and Saunders Crescent.

I’m not sure who the road is closed to since these two streets are the only way to enter our neighborhood.

Saunders at Cooley where during the work a water main was broken. But hey, that’s what they’re replacing.

The whole process is interesting to watch.

The number and variety of large machines is impressive.

A water main connector about to enter the ground.
So, there are two water mains to be changed (they are replacing pipes that have been there since 1955). One main is servicing the north side of the street, one the south side. Then they have to replace the storm sewers. It took three months to do the inner crescents, so I expect it to take until at least the end of August, if not September to finish the outer crescents.
More later…
