Canada Day and more

Canada has been an important part of my life since the year I was born. My mother was born in Canada, and I had and still have many relatives in Canada, So, I am a proud supporter of celebrating Canada Day.

Continuing on a somewhat Canadian theme –

The Detroit Red Wings signed Patrick Kane last night. Personally, as a big Red Wings fan I think that this is a good sign for next season.

Not even close.

I like playing with the ambiguity of many English words. This was todays 9 Chickweed Lane comic.

Yesterday we met Mike and Linda at her house in Ypsilanti for coffee and fruit before heading down to Bird Dog Baking for brunch, which was quite nice. The walk to and from brunch was along a section of the Huron River.

More later…

  1. I would REALLY like to meet you. I’ve been Following your « Place » for quite a while now. Not a big bug fan, but I like the way your two think. I was an interpreter in France. My children, who are multi-racial, born of a father from Martinique, were born and raised in Paris, where my career was. I went to U-Mich and had townie friends here, so we would visit in the summer. I have a tiny house here on the SE side, with a garden. I’d love to offer you two a cup of tea some day. You can call me on 734 657-1175, or respond by e-mail. Sandy (Solopiggy)
