Living a successful life

Well now – If this is correct than I have lived a spectacular life. As I am writing this Susan is both fixing dinner and simmering tomato sauce for canning. It will be another successful winter. But as well as Italian food, you need art.

I love this painting by Salvatore Dalí. He painted this after waking from a dream about a pomegranate. The model is his wife, everything else is drawn from his imagination. Years ago I had a journal for sketching that had this image on the cover.

Thinking about it two things that Italy has given us – good food and good art.
