This showed up in my news feed the other day. As a person who has studied genealogy for many years I found it quite interesting. When I was born my mother had turned 26 the day before I was born. Her mother (my grandmother) was 43, her mother (my great-grandmother) would have been 66 had she not died before I was born. Now on to gardens.

Magnolias are still blooming in Ann Arbor, being just past their peak.

I have been surprised at how many gardens have quince in them, which are also peaking.

Crab-apples are all over and in full bloom.

But the real show right now are the tulips.

Not quite sure what these are, but their quite nice.

Then there are more tulips.

And then there are the last of the daffadills.

Not many hyacinths left blooming.

And another garden flower that I don’t know. Then there are my favorites –

Grape hyacinths are the smallest and brightest blue of the garden flowers.
More tomorrow…
Your unknown yellow flowers are Cowslip– Primula veris
