A February morning in Paradise

Under our feeders we had a large flock of Pine Grosbeaks – here are 7 of the 17 that were here.

Here’s a male Pine Grosbeak at a feeder.

A clear warm morning meant that there were good views of the Moon. These photos were taken two hours apart.

A poor photo of a Spruce Grouse that flushed from the side of the road into a tree.

A Ruffed Grouse on Whitefish Point Road.

Just in case you think gas is expensive where you are. The gas station in Paradise always has the most expensive gas both in the eastern Upper Peninsula and all of the Lower Peninsula.

But just relax and enjoy the fact that you are in Paradise.

More tomorrow…

  1. Such wonderful photos Mike. Every summer when I was growing up we went to Taq⁸MIuamanon Falls to spend the day. We spent several weeks every summer on Lake Huron near Drummond Island. I have never been to a place more captivating than the UP, Taquamenon Falls, I’ve never seen the Falls frozen. So cool.
