More art from the DIA

The Diego Rivera murals at the DIA are something that I always stop to see when I am there. They are truly amazing.

Andy Warhol self portraits. I guess that there were an early form of selfies.

A piece of art by Yoko Ono. It’s a metal reproduction of the shirt that John Lennon was wearing whet he was shot.

A beautiful piece by Joan Miró.

Over the years I have accumulated several volumes of work by Pablo Picasso. I find all of his art interesting. Some day I want to see Guernica his amazing work on the German bombing of the town of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War. I’ve put a copy of the work, which Picasso toured in 1937 to raise funds for the people suffering during the Fascist take over of Spain, below.

And finally, two women intently looking at a nearby man.

They seem to be ready for action.

More tomorrow from Whitefish Point.
