Some humor for the first cold day of winter and my stamp store

Now that it’s winter Mother Nature is letting us what she has in store for us in December.

When I got up this morning the temperature was 13F, it’s been dropping rapidly. I think that we are planning on staying inside today.

The big question is where have I been for the past 7-10 days? Well, in late October the CEO of Hip Enterprises asked me if I would reconsider re-opening my on-line stamp store. He made an offer I couldn’t refuse. Assuming that I would do as much business as I did before the pandemic started it wouldn’t be too much work. Well, was I wrong. Apparently, stamp collectors have been waiting for the pandemic to wane and are buying tons of stamps. So far each month (November and December) has been better in sales that any year for me in the past. That said, if you’re a stamp collector check out Mike’s Stamp Emporium on Hipstamp.

Now on to fun stuff.

Dance like a Fraggle, rock on!

Drop the ornaments and pose undressed. And I wondered where all the Bilbos were.

Oops! Plan your party before sending invitations.

Celebrating the Solstice as long as humans can remember.

Not even the pilgrims wanted to celebrate Christmas.

The decoration in our neighborhood have been growing by the day. I’ll post something on that later.

“Look! A squirrel!” Easiest way to distract a dog.

Saturnalia, my kind of holiday.

More later…

  1. I had a link to an article (Nat. Geo, I think) about that woodpecker they thought was extinct. Couldn’t find your blog so I could send it to you. Maybe you can find it. Merry Christmas.
