An interesting day at Whitefish Point

Lincoln’s Sparrow is always a good feeder bird. I’ve seen more Cooper’s Hawks this year at Whitefish Point than perhaps any other. But the real surprises were the more southerly species. South winds brought some great migrants

Trying to get photos of the large numbers of Evening Grosbeaks passing by is really challenging. I had close to 300 fly by the cabin in the morning.
