Ubatuba, Brazil: Day-2

We spent a late afternoon into early evening at Jonas’ Hummingbird House. We were there at the same time as others, and all enjoyed the birds. There were fruit feeders and nine hummingbird feeders.

The feeders were often visited by multiple species simultaneously like the three species here.

Brazilian Ruby, an attractive little hummer.

Black-necked Jacobin.

Bananaquit going to feed on bananas.

Chestnut-bellied Euphonias feeding on bananas.

Green Honeycreeper.

Green-headed Tanager.

Red-rumped Cacique. The can actually see the red rump on this one.

Violaceous Euphonia on the left, Saffron Finch on the right.

Festive Coquette. We seemed to see all females and/or young birds.

Saw-billed Hermit.

Versicolored Emerald.

Violet-capped Woodnymph.

And so ended our fun afternoon at Jonas’.

More from Ubatuba tomorrow…
