It was time to move lodges and settle into a new place. The feeders here were covered with Nandy Parakeets and finches.

Campo Flickers made good use of old termite mounds for nesting.

Chestnut-bellied Guan.

I really like finding nests. The bird on the left is a Crested Oropendola at a nest. On the right are Greater Thornbirds at a nest.

Yellow-billed Cardinals were abundant here.

Unicolored Blackbird female on the left, Greenish Elaenia on the right. There was no shortage of birds on and around the grounds of the lodge.

This Black-chested Hawk was near the river that we could walk to.

I saw this Scarlet-headed Blackbird on the way to our new lodge.

This White-throated (Blue-throated?) Piping-Guan was near the lodge.

Red-crested Finch.

Black-crowned Tityra. For some reason I have always like tityras. They have interesting shapes and colors.

White-headed Marsh-Tyrant that we saw on the way to the lodge.

Collared Plover. Somehow after all of my years guiding and watching birds in Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama I had never seen one of the little cuties. Now I can say that I have.

Crimson-crested Woodpecker teasing us at the back of a tree.

But it finally gave us a better look.

Chestnut-eared Araçari. What a stunning bird.
