Gary Larson sure had fun with Jane Goodall.
Watching the rise of fascism in the United States makes me wish that more people were like Jane. I had hope for a long time, but am no longer sure that this country is deserving of respect. At the same time I think back to Edgar Rice Burroughs and his Tarzan books – Jane was there learning about the Great Apes. Perhaps we can learn about the fascist apes running the government.
Then again, perhaps there is no hope in the near future.
