On day-5 of our trip in North-west Canada we traveled to Whitehorse, Yukon.

A porcupine! The first that we saw.

Susan watching a Willow Ptarmigan in the snow.

Male and female Willow Ptarmigan.

Along the Haines Highway we never got very high in elevation, but there was a lot of snow on the ground.

The scenery was spectacular.

One of the many American Wigeon that we saw.

Varied Thrush singing loudly.

Golden-crowned Sparrows.

A large black bear.

Two grizzly bears. I was surprised that we had to yell at two people to get back in their car, letting them know that grizzlies eat people.
Day-6 tomorrow…
