It seemed appropriate that we were seeing beavers in western Canada.

When we found two that appeared to be sleeping we were suprised.

Early one morning we spotted a moose on the other side of a lake where we were looking for waterfowl.

Red-necked Grebe on a nest.

As silly as it might seem, Black-billed Magpies were one of my favorite bird of the trip.

Northern Waterthrushes were quite common in the Yukon and Northwest Territories.

One of many red fox that we found, and all of them were carrying food to dens. This one had a snowshoe hare and grouse.

This Rusty Blackbird was harassing a Northern Hawk Owl.

Here’s a better photo of the hawk owl.
Day-5 tomorrow…
