The return of the Pandemic Doctor, in his own words

It has been nice having some time off. I’ve been able to spend time with old friends who don’t always believe everything that I’ve told the,. But frankly, since the 1300s I’ve seen it all. I guess that it started with the infamous Black Death – bubonic and pneumonic plague. How many people died? I’ve written the number down somewhere, but it doesn’t matter. These people are dead and gone. That was the largest pandemic in modern times, but there have been others more recently. Cholera, influenza, SARS-CoV-2. With better sanitation cholera isn’t much of an issue any more. Influenza and SARS (COVID-19) have vaccines, when people choose to take them.

Then there are of the other diseases that had been eradicated recently – typhoid, chickenpox, measles, mumps, whooping cough, yellow fever, TB, diphtheria and more.

But now there’s an idea circulating about an anti-vaxxer taking over the CDC, or something similar. He thinks that there’s a debate over vaccines usefulness.

But frankly those who die have little to say.

Hopefully, I’ll get to continue my time off. Then again, I’m not looking forward to the 1300s all over again.

So for those in charge I’ll be installing nightmares to get you through the process of choosing who to appoint.
