The first layer of asphalt has been laid on most of Saunders Crescent and Hatcher Crescent. Supposidly the entire project will be done by Saturday. This project started in late March, so it will be a relief to everybody on the “Crescents” to see it completed.

It’s been interesting watching the asphalt being put down. The photo on the right isn’t glare from the sun, but rather steam from the very hot asphalt.
Now on to fun and silly stuff.

Hard to believe that Jimmy Carter was 100 yesterday. I’ll have to say that inflation s=aside he was the best, and most moral U.S. President in my lifetime.

The meme-world has had a field day with Jared Goff. But he sure had the game of a lifetime on Monday night.
But don’t laugh too much – there are still dangers in the world.

Rwanda is currently experiencing a rather wide-spread outbreak of Marburg Virus. Marburg, a hemorrhagic fever, is Ebola’s deadly cousin. Approximately 50-90% of the people of contract the virus will die. Originally Marburg virus spreads from fruit bats to humans.
Marburg spreads through human-to-human transmission via direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and with surfaces and materials (e.g. bedding, clothing) contaminated with these fluids.
On this note remember it’s time to get a flu shot and Covid shot so you can stay healthy.
