Our day started with the new moth trap set up. We got some moths and lost of aquatic insects.

We had a spectacular dinner. Susan made falafel and we got tuum, humus, pita at El Harissa. I made mango-curried chickpeas and rice and this is what dinner looked like. Had to eat well since we were going to be up late with moths.

People started showing up before 8:30pm. And were ready for nocturnal insects well before it was dark.

By the time we were ready to talk to everybody about moths and the procedure for the evening there were over 40 people. I think that this was the most people that we have ever had for a moth night. I was particularly taken by a little girl who was so excited at seeing the wonderful variety of insects. We had three sheets and the lighthouse set-up.
Moth photos at another time since we are getting ready to head out to find an interesting orchid this morning.
More tomorrow…
