We’re heading off into the scary south. I wonder where we’ll see the first strange tennis shoes?

The southern states are a sad place. Fortunately, we have many good liberal friends that we will be visiting.

I’ll have to remember this when we’re in Alabama. We will be staying on Dauphin Island for six days which is slightly more liberal that the rest of the state. There are a lot of nice bird preserves on the rather small island.

It’s hard to deny the fact that the Alabama supreme court knows nothing about biology. But they have introduced an interesting situation for the state income tax situation.

Florida is currently seeing a surge in measles cases, which has the potential to produce some depressing results.
I’m sure that I will write more on all of this as March progresses, although I will try to stick to birds and natural history.
And finally –

Subversive left-wing educators! Yep, that would be me.
More tomorrow…
It’s interesting to draw a parallel between the idiocies spewed in the South and the low level of the education given southern children. Just sayin’.

I totally agree with you. But the people making the laws are educated, unfortunately. They appeal to the ignorant, uneducated.
