Dinner, shopping and games

After seeing The Nutcracker the other night we went to Chapala for dinner. This restaurant is close to Market of Choice, a nice place to shop.

Near Market of Choice is a place called Toxic. Jokingly I told Susan I hope they don’t sell food. Well – they do! Their signature burger is intoxicating! Still, I question the name.

Market of Choice is like Plum Market in Ann Arbor, but much larger and with a greater selection. They have a huge bulk section which I really liked.

But even more exciting is the cheese selection – absolutely amazing.

Trying to choose a game to play with Alexis and Simon can be challenging, since this is “part” of Simon’s game collection and the gaming table.

We played Ex Libris one night. In this game you collect cards with book titles that have to be alphabetized in your library. Simple sounding, but complex.

Here’s a sample card. I think that I have to share Sorcery for Stamp Collectors with some friends.

I think that our favorite game (we played it twice) was Lizard Wizard. The game is complex with many facets. But even with the complex nature of the game it was outrageously fun. I might have to look for this one.

More tomorrow…
