A new respiratory virus

This story appeared in my new feed yesterday and was too similar to the start of covid (SARS-CoV-2) in the fall of 2019. It meant that it was time to get to the WHO website and ready more about the virus.

Obviously, some of the same old viruses and bacterial are still around, but not all cause “clusters of undiagnosed pneumonia.”

While the increase in number of sick children has increased, hospitals are not “yet” overwhelmed.

Currently, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, among some viruses are being blamed for the current situation in China. But until this is proven and stabilized it’s a situation that is being closely followed by the WHO.
