Fun in Ithaca

As I am sitting down writing this as Thanksgiving approaches I found this particular cartoon quite funny. Over the years I have prepared turkey, chicken, duck and quail. But I would never threaten poor little Woodstock.

The traditional Peanuts Thanksgiving dinner is popcorn and toast. Now on to Ithaca.

The place we stayed in Ithaca was an easy walk downtown. A nice walk to Cornell and other places as well. We stayed three nights and never once used the car. This was obviously a very walkable site.

Another painting of a woman overlooking our bed. Was there a theme to where Susan chose for us to stay, or perhaps in AirB&Bs?

AN interesting way to get to Cornell was to walk up The Gorge. If we weren’t running late this would have been a delightful place to visit.

Dinner on our first night was at Moosewood, as in the vegetarian cookbooks.

Susan at the back enterance.

We got to meet up with our friend Matt who didn’t live far from Ithaca. He has stayed with us in the past, taking him to Whitefish Point in search of crossbills and grosbeaks. Here we were on “his turf” so he treated us to breakfast.

Tomorrow, a gathering of moth lovers at the entomology department at Cornell.
