Sadly, Angelo’s will be closing at the end of the year. It’s always been a good place for breakfast or lunch. In fact, Angelo’s was the first place I ate in Ann Arbor after moving here in 1977.

Here’s where we sat this morning looking across the restaurant towards the front door. Below is the countdown clock showing that there are only 55 days left to eat here.

In 1977 I worked in the Anatomy Department at the Medical School. It was a short walk to Angelo’s.

Here’s the view from the door that was just outside of the lab that I worked in. Angelo’s is down at the end of the block.

Here’s the view from the front of Angelo’s facing west. The tall building is Old St. Joe’s. I finished my career as a Research Associate at the University of Michigan on the top floor of the building.
So I guess that this morn ing was a trip down memory lane.
More later…
I like that place also. Iâm VERY unhappy itâs closing. U-M is my alma mater, and my daughterâs med school, but they are buying up soooo much of the city⦠and taking it off the tax registers so we résidents have to pick up the slack. Sandy (Solopiggy)
