Feeding and the garden

On our walk this morning we passed a zombie feeding area. We’ll have to remember to check in on this “area” later in the month. But when we got home and finished other things it was time to take down the garden.

I brought in six butternut squash and two spaghetti squash. I also repotted two pepper plants. The small one on the left is still flowering and has some small peppers. The taller one on the right is an habanero plant. I also has flowers and three peppers. I’m hoping that they can finish ripening.

I pulled out all of the jalapeño, chili de arbol and cayenne plants and brought the peppers in. I’ll dry some of these and pickle some of the others. I also brought in lots of basil. Susan is taking down the bean plants and tomato plants. The garden was kind to us this year.

More later.
