
We’re only a few blocks from the Creal Microgallery. At least twice a day when we’re home we walk by it and enjoy what is on display. Currently, the exhibit is composed of Silicone “sculptures.” It is quite nice.

What you have to remember is that the exhibition space is approximately 14″ wide, 10″ deep and 16″ in height. Somehow, all of these remind me of slime molds, which are really atttractive little structures. Now, on to science.

Recently four elements were discovered. These are 113, 115, 117 and 118. FL (114) and LV (116) were discovered and named some 4-5 years ago. It is amazing that when I was last in graduate school, some 45 years ago there were only 102 known elements.
I guess students have more to learn these days.
