Visiting some favorite trees today. On the left is a northern hackberry, in the center a dwarf hackberry and on the right a red mulberry. I love looking at the tree at Pelee.

The park is over-run with turkeys. You can go down the more more than a kilometer or two without seeing a flock. The same applies to many of the trails.

What would a visit to Pelee be without going to the tip. The majority of gulls were Herring Gulls, the smaller ones are Ring-billed Gulls and the single large Black and white gull is a Greater Black-backed Gull.

Not much happening with raptors. This was one of the few Broad-winged Hawks that we saw today.

But even birders need to eat. Lakeside was calling to me. I hadn’t been here in years, most likely May of 2019.

And it wasn’t disappointing. Lunch was the soup and half-sandwich special. I chose French-onion soup and corned beef on whole wheat. Dinner we opted for soup and a dessert. I had potato ham soup and cinnamon sticks.
More tomorrow when we venture over to Holiday Beach.
