I did the picking. Still lots of Roma tomatoes waiting to be canned as sauce.

It seems that every time I go outside there are more things to pick. This basket includes a couple of days worth of green beans and even a hot pepper.

I’ll be sad when we’ve eaten the last of the cherry tomatoes.

Susan’s canning efforts. Four quarts of sauce and eight pints of diced tomatoes. This winter we will be enjoying fruits of her labor.
Then for dinner we had cherry tomatoes and mozzarella but needed some basil. Well that’s easy, just walk out to the garden.

But I was hijacked by this “Short-winged meadow katydid.” Objiously, I had to stop and get a quick camera photo. Hmm, what did I do before my phone had a camera? Right, I would have gone back into the house and brought my camera out.
More tomorrow…
